Hey, I'm Mr Hlope!
Mr Hlope’s story
Mr Hlope came to us as a baby, together with Snowy, and stood out right from the start because of his snow-white fur.
As an albino, he is special, but that is precisely what makes life in the wild impossible for him. His impaired sight and hearing, as well as his conspicuous appearance, would put him and others in danger.
For a long time, he lived in various monkey groups, but he was never truly integrated. With the new rehabilitation guidelines, he eventually moved to a protected home that better suits his needs.
Today he lives with Jojo by his side – a bond that brings him peace and companionship. Despite his calm nature, he enjoys observing and simply being part of what’s going on.
Mr Hlophe embodies uniqueness and demonstrates that even a life that is different has its own inherent value and place.

Your monthly contribution helps to ensure she receives food, care and medical treatment. You decide for how many months you’d like to sponsor her, and you can end your sponsorship at any time.
Snack sponsorship – €5 per month
Food sponsorship – €10 a month
You’ll help cover Mr Hlope’s monthly food costs and ensure she enjoys a varied diet of different fruits and vegetables.
Full care – €20 per month
You’ll support Mr Hlope’s complete care. This includes food, medical care, maintenance of the enclosures, sleeping boxes, and climbing and enrichment facilities.
